The Roman background of Cornelius is that he had been a centurion. He had been living in the Cohors II Italica Civium Romanorum (Markl, 2020). There had been the fear of God present in the mind and heart of Cornelius for which the Holy Spirit had touched him later to change his life to Christianity as a baptized Christian (Markl, 2020). There had been acts of selflessness and kindness done by him. He used to give alms also (Markl, 2020). Herod had been the designated as the king of Judaea (Black, 2020).
