The failure in resolving economic issues and building the strong army and navy troops by the national government can be assessed as the major issues under the Article of Confederation. The Articles stated few policies like, “The Stile of this Confederacy shall be, The United States of America”, “Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every power, jurisdiction, and right, which is not by this Confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled”, and so forth (Smith, 1997).
