I believe that the rewards are more like an entitlement than a right. If it was a right, every single person will be eligible for it. I can be wrong but I think everyone is not at all eligible for a reward. As per my learning of the course till now, I can say that rewards are given to those who can or who have already proved themselves. In order to get a reward, I think a person has to be efficient enough and most important part is the highest authority needs to have that level of trust on that person. I am here talking about non-monetary rewards. For example, an employee who is an expert in doing the technology works is given the responsibility of a task. Now it is more like an entitlement. The employee may get some extra money for doing this but there is no guarantee.
