Climate change has definitely played a major role in in influencing human migration over the past 100,000 years. One example would be the floods in China and Pakistan in May 2010 which led towards migration of about 10 million people from their native place mainly cause because of climate change and rise in sea level. Another example would be the 2007 Tsunami in Indonesia which was also the result of climate change and sea level rising leading to huge tsunami forcing millions of people to migrate.
